The House Intelligence Committee has been completely railroaded by its Republican chair, Devin Nunes, and its proceedings have ground to a halt. That is why it is critical that the Senate Intelligence Committee get to work immediately if Congress wants to have any hope of holding the administration accountable for any improper ties to Russia, including potential collusion in tampering with the 2016 election. Today we invite you to call members on the committee and let them know you are watching every move.
I am an American calling to urge Senator ___________ to make sure that the work of the Senate Intelligence Committee is thorough, fair, and balanced. This committee must follow the investigative trail wherever it leads. Even though the President has consistently belittled the investigation as a witch hunt, Congress needs to restore trust in the American people. Thank you for recording my call. LET'S USE RESITBOT to continue to urge our Senators to not change the senate rules and procedures on Supreme Court nominees. If Gorsuch does not meet the 60-vote threshold, what we need is not a change of the rules but rather a change of the candidate. Do our senators value their party over preserving our democratic process? They need to answer that question!
HB 13: a waiver for new class size requirements.
Update: we have called on this bill several times, and it has bipartisan support. From what we understand, it is being used as a negotiating chip in talks between the GOP leadership and Governor Cooper. Therefore, it is critical that we call Phil Berger and Tim Moore to urge them to make sure this provision is part of the budget. We are including their Facebook pages as well. Comments here might be noticed as well, but please be respectful. Some of our members have been banned from these pages, merely for expressing dissenting views. If you are interested in holding leaders accountable, you may want to screen shot your comments. What follows is an explanation of why this bill is important.
Smaller class sizes sound great, until you realize that these new requirements, which kick in next school year, are completely unfunded. Schools would be forced to cancel arts and P.E. programs which have already suffered much under McCrory-era heavy budget cuts. Thousands of teachers could be out of work. This bill gives some relief and flexibility in meeting the new laws, and schools are unanimously for it. Call Berger & Moore.

I am a constituent calling from ___________ and I urge Senator Berger / Representative Moore to support HB 13 by helping to get it to an immediate vote. We need to preserve arts and P.E. programs in our public schools. We understand that this bill is a part of ongoing budget negotiations, but important decisions about school staffing must be made now. Thank you for recording my call.

HB 467: Agriculture and Forestry Nuisance Remedies:
This bill would limit the ability of North Carolina residents to sue industrial hog farms for damages for polluting their air and water. This is despite mounting evidence that industrial hog farms—like Smithfield—can have significant health effects on nearby residents producing symptoms such as burning eyes, breathing problems, headaches, anxiety, and blood pressure spikes. The waste from these farms also disproportionately affects poor people and people of color who have fewer protections from environmental hazards, less ability to leave their homes during high exposure periods, and less access to medical and clinical services than residents of higher-income communities. Call your reps.
Hi, I am a constituent from __________________ and I am calling to urge Rep./Sen. _________________ to oppose HB 467, the Agriculture and Forestry Nuisance Remedies bill. This bill would restrict the ability of people to sue industrial hog farms for damages. Waste from industrial hog farms has been documented to pollute air and water sources. It has also had significant health effects on nearby residents, contributing to symptoms such as burning eye, breathing problems, and even high blood pressure. Thank you for your time.
