FEDERAL:
Congress is back in session! Let's flood the phones!

NO MORE WASTED TIME ON TRUMPCARE!
Republican Members of Congress are toying with repealing the Affordable Care Act (ACA)—again. The new proposals from the White House would make the bill even worse. Whether these MoCs are considering discussing another vote on TrumpCare in the next few weeks or months, they need to hear from YOU that any more time on TrumpCare is wasted time.
Just as important, you have to be sure that your representatives are committed not only to upholding the ACA as a law but supporting it as a means for affordable health care coverage for millions of Americans.

SCRIPT IF YOU GET INSURANCE THROUGH THE ACA:

Hi, I'm a constituent calling from zip code ________. I will not tolerate any more time wasted on TrumpCare, which would have taken away care from 24 million people and cut Medicaid by $880 billion dollars in order to give tax cuts to the wealthy, insurance companies, and other big corporations.
Congress is responsible for ensuring the existing health care system works. We will hold Senator/Representative _________ accountable for any action that makes healthcare more expensive or drives insurance companies out of the marketplaces.
I depend on the Affordable Care Act for coverage and I need there to be a plan I can access and that I can afford on the marketplace in my state next year.
I would like to get answers to the following questions, so please take down my contact information (Name, email, phone #)

Will Senator/Representative __________ commit to pressuring the Administration to make the Affordable Care Act work so that I have access to options for coverage next year?

Will Senator/Representative ___________ ask the Administration to abandon efforts to undermine the ACA, like they did when they pulled paid advertisements for enrollment outreach?
Thank you.

SCRIPT IF YOU/FAMILY MEMBER HAVE A PRE-EXISTING CONDITION:

Hi, I'm a constituent calling from zip code ________. I will not tolerate any more time wasted on TrumpCare, which would have taken away care from 24 million people and cut Medicaid by $880 billion dollars in order to give tax cuts to the wealthy, insurance companies, and other big corporations.
Congress is responsible for ensuring the existing health care system works. We will hold Senator/Representative _________ accountable for any action that makes healthcare more expensive or drives insurance companies out of the marketplaces.
I or a family member has a pre-existing condition. The White House is proposing to give states the choice to drop protections that prevent insurance companies from charging people like me massive premiums.
I would like to get answers to the following questions, so please take down my contact information (Name, email, phone #)

Will Senator/Representative __________ commit to pressuring the Administration to make the Affordable Care Act work so that I have access to options for coverage next year?

Will Senator/Representative __________ commit to opposing any changes to the American Health Care Act that will make it harder for people with pre-existing conditions to buy health care?
Thank you.

STATE:
Stop the Power Grab; Oppose Veto Overrides

Two very bad bills passed both chambers of the General Assembly last week and were swiftly vetoed by Governor Cooper. HB 68 weakens his power on the boards of elections, while HB 239 reduces the number of judges on the Court of Appeals. Swift override votes are expected mid-week, so we need to make noise to whomever will listen that partisan power grabs are unacceptable.

SCRIPT:
I am a constituent from _________ calling to ask that Governor Cooper’s veto of SB 68 and SB 239 be allowed to stand. These bills are unnecessary. Their only purpose is to weaken the Governor’s powers. Thank you for recording my call.
