Call for Special Prosecutor on Russia, Russia, Russia

On Tuesday night, it was revealed that the FBI obtained a FISA warrant to monitor Trump campaign foreign policy adviser, Carter Page. Reportedly, the application for the FISA warrant laid out a case that Page may be a Kremlin agent. Additionally, both parties have now had a chance to review the documents that Chairman Devin Nunes (R-CA) claimed somehow supported the claim that Trump campaign personnel had been improperly “unmasked.” Both sides agree that there is no evidence contained within these documents of anything illegal or unusual. Nunes’ “escapade” has now been exposed as a political effort coordinated with the White House to provide cover for Trump’s evidence-free claims that President Obama illegally wiretapped him. This also strongly suggests that the President’s recent claims that former National Security Advisor Susan Rice broke the law appear to be baseless. There is growing and cumulative evidence of Trump campaign aides contact with Russian government and intelligence officials. Given the continuing effort of the Trump administration to distract from and obstruct the Russia investigation, it is imperative that a special prosecutor be appointed. Americans deserve a thorough investigation they can trust.

FISA warrant to monitor Carter Page story here:

Hi. This is [NAME] and I’m a constituent in [ZIP].
I’m calling to ask [Rep/Sen____] to demand that the Attorney General appoint a special prosecutor to investigate the president, his ties to Russia and Russian interference in our election. This story has all Americans worried about the Trump administration and his personal financial ties to Russia. This investigation must be kept outside of the political arena if there is to be any confidence from the public. Thank you.

HB 563, The Whole Woman's Health Act
In 2016, the Supreme Court struck down many of the state laws that constitute a creeping threat against Roe v. Wade. This excellent new bill would make sure that North Carolina abides by this decision by tackling several onerous state laws, including the 72-hour waiting period, mandates that abortion seekers view ultrasounds, and legislator-written scripts that doctors must read that contradict medical science, among others. This bill was filed on April 4th, and is now sitting in the Rules Committee, often a legislative graveyard. Let’s call to make sure our state is in line with federal law and to support women’s rights to make their own reproductive choices.
Background on HB563:…/house-bill-bring-nc-abortio…/

Hi, I am a constituent from __________ and I am calling to urge Rep./Sen _____________ to support HB 563, a bill that would bring North Carolina law in line with a recent Supreme Court ruling on women’s reproductive health. Many of our state’s abortion restrictions are unconstitutional. Thanks for recording my call.
