There is a bill that was introduced in the Senate in January, S.27 to establish an independent commission to investigate Russian interference in the election, but it needs cosponsors to get to committee.
There is a House Resolution that was introduced in the House in January, H.R.356 (Protecting Our Democracy Act) that is similar, but also needs cosponsors to get to committee. House Intelligence Committee Chairman Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA) thinks he can get away with moving hearings behind closed doors. It’s clear that he can’t be trusted to lead an unbiased investigation.
I am a constituent calling from zip code __________, and I am calling to urge Senator __________ to cosponsor S. 27, which would create an independent commission to investigate Russian interference in our democratic institutions. This is not a political issue, this is a national security issue, and all I observe is partisan posturing. I will be paying close attention to see if Senator _________ is willing to put our country above politics. Thank you.

I am a constituent calling from zip code __________, and I am calling to urge Representative ___________ to cosponsor H.R. 356, the Protecting our Democracy Act, which would create a special commission to investigate Russian interference into our elections. It’s clear that Rep. Devin Nunes can’t be trusted to lead an unbiased investigation. From attempting to run interference for Donald Trump to trying to move hearing behind closed doors is unacceptable. I will be paying close attention to see if Representative _________ is willing to put our country above politics. Thank you.

FULL REPEAL OF HB2 (YES, AGAIN)
The NCAA issues noon Thursday deadline to repeal HB2! Based on conservative estimates, North Carolina’s economy stands to lose nearly $4 billion because of House Bill 2 (AP analysis). That means fewer jobs and less money in the pockets of middle class families. Not to mention the continued discrimination of our LGBTQ community. We need to fix this now.
Call, email, & fax your rep, and call leadership.
I am a constituent calling from zip code __________ and I am demanding that Rep. ___________ support an immediate repeal to HB2. No replacement or compromise is needed. This bill is bigoted, embarrassing, and economically devastating to our state. Based on conservative estimates, our economy stands to lose nearly $4 billion because of this ridiculous bill.
Please show some leadership on this issue. Thank you for recording my call.
